Dr. Yuen also will critically analyze Shang Han Lun formulas from Shen Nong Ben Cao perspective. the earliest extant text on Chinese materia medicine, the text substances: 1) superior-grade herbs, animal products, stones, grains, fruits, and tree products used for prevention; 2) middle-grade herbs and other natural substances used on a restorative basis after illness; and 3) lower-grade herbs and other items that treat disease.
